Springtime is Here - F&M

The Young Professor Look

It has been a while since a post has been, well posted. College life can cause one to easily neglect things. In any case spring is upon us and so the winter doldrums of parkas and scarves is slowly fading into our memories. Despite the fluctuating temperatures here in Lancaster (80 one day, 50 the next) a few days are nice enough for outfits like this. Hopefully there will be more to come.

What's Beurre Noir? : An Introduction

When friends do something extraordinary I like to try and promote their works as best as I can. While this may be one very small and insignificant medium, I feel I can try and do my part through this blog to lend a helping hand when needed. If you are doing something in the clothing world, let me know...but for now its Beurre Noir's time to shine. What follows after the jump are not my words or pictures but from the people behind Beurre Noir itself.

Off to Class - F&M

How Bret celebrates the last class of a semester.

What could possibly describe this picture any better than what it shows you? Nothing, other than context. Classes are winding down for us here at F&M. What better way to commemorate the occasion than a classic look?

Ware Wear...the Outtakes - F&M

An outtake from the Ware Wear photo shoot in the Ware fireplace room.

When your house calls upon you to perform a service, you answer the call. Here at F&M we don't simply live in nondescript dorms as temporary residents, we live in our house, an affiliation that stays with us for our 4 years and beyond. My house, some might say the best house, is Ware and I was asked to take some pictures of our "Ware Wear" for our new website. Since our stuff is quite fashionable, I thought it merited a shoutout here...biased opinion? Most definitely! :)

Casually Rugged - F&M

"Its raining outside???" -what I wish Pete had said

This picture is also from that horribly soggy day last week and what struck me was the fact that Pete here still bothered to try and look, well...business like. I know when its rainy and dreary outside I try to stray away from wearing khakis because of the thinness of the material. Pete however stayed the course and it looks like the khakis are no worse for the wear. The only evidence of the conditions of the day are his soaked umbrella and the rugged shoots (I call boots that look like shoes shoots) he's wearing, hence I have dubbed this casually rugged.

Rainy Day En Negro - F&M

Erika's all black everything.

What a horribly rainy day it was when I took this picture. Being more of a fan of snow, I couldn't help but imagine what epic snow mounds that rain would have been if this had happened in December...but I digress. Erika's outfit would not have withstood a wintry blast. The all black (everything) caught my eye as I was closing my window to keep the rain in its natural element. On a very depressing day, it was the darkest color of them all that added a little life to it...at least for me.

Also this post inaugurates a new label: ABE, which means all black everything. I don't know how many ABE's this blog will see...but I'm game to find out.

Pattern - F&M/Millersville

Liz's pattern in Goethean Hall

Why is this post F&M and Millersville? Because Liz here is a full time student at Millersville who is in enrolled in my arabic class here at F&M. Her shirt caught my eye when she came in class but when our professor noticed it too I had to take a picture.
